April has been a super busy month for everyone here at ActionCOACH Portsmouth and Chichester!
Celebrating Our Teams Work Anniversaries
In April we had two celebrations in the office, Georgie our Office Administrator celebrated her one year working at ActionCOACH Portsmouth and Chichester and Sarah, who is one of our business coaches, celebrated her 7th year!
Georgie has been a key member of the team ever since she started at our head office in Havant. She ensures that the team’s diaries are correctly managed and that all the in-house events are correctly catered to, as well as making sure that the internal systems and CRMs are up to date and run smoothly. She has made a massive impact not only in the team but also being the first point of contact for many of our clients.
We also celebrated Sarah in our office too! Sarah is one of our business coaches here at ActionCOACH and she has been with us now for 7 years.
Sarah plays a fundamental part in ActionCOACH Portsmouth and Chichester’s success, winning many awards over the years including winning ‘Business Coach of the Year’ for the past 2 years. Sarah has impacted many lives and her continuous support to her clients does not go unnoticed, with reviews from her clients highlighting her commitment to them and their businesses.
‘She is passionate about what she does and passionate about her clients and their company’s path to success. I feel like she is part of my team.’
As a business, we would like to thank both Georgie and Sarah for all their hard work over the years and look forward to collaborating with them further and continuing to help our clients achieve their personal and business goals.

Partnering up with HSBC Bank
At ActionCOACH Portsmouth and Chichester, we want to make sure that we partner up with other businesses that can add value to our current and prospecting clients.
For many years now, we have been working closely with HSBC Bank and together we put on events that add value to many business owners and leaders across the South Coast. On the 22nd of April, Gary, our founder, headed up to the HSBC head office in Whiteley to present to a room full of business owners, focusing on cash within a business.
With over 17 years of business coaching and 20-plus years in directorship roles, Gary was able to implement his own experiences into the presentation and show business owners ‘How to get more cash into their business’.
Throughout the rest of 2024, we have several events with HSBC that we would like to invite you to attend, click here to find out more.
Showing Business Owners How To Sell Their Businesses
Working alongside Kingsbrook, we hosted another FREE event for business owners across the South Coast to learn the importance of positioning your business in the best light possible, ready for the business to be sold.
Like always, the room was filled with business owners and entrepreneurs who were all in attendance to find out more about selling their businesses. The first half was hosted by our very own Sarah Williams who educated everyone about how to build strategies that use growth tools to help take their business to the next level, making it even more attractive to a buyer.
The second half of the seminar was hosted by Kingsbrook’s Dave Rebbettes and he showed all of the attendees how their services would positively impact the transaction.
We have a long-standing partnership with Kingsbrook and we are hosting a range of events with them through the rest of 2024.

Attending The UK’s Biggest Business Conference, BizX
Halfway through April, we took all of our team to Liverpool to attend BizX!
BizX is the UK’s biggest business conference and has some of the top speakers in the world take the stage. We were lucky enough to watch Storybrand’s founder Donald Miller talk about the importance of marketing and Jamil Qureshi, one of the world leading psychologists who has worked closely with NASA and is a TEDx speaker.
The team was in Liverpool for 4-days in total and was able to network with other ActionCOACH teams across the UK and see what works well for each business. In attendance were also some of our clients, which included Amberly Security, Solent Mobility and DSqaured Group Services.
As coaches, it was great to see our clients passionate about continuous learning and walk away with fresh ideas that they could implement into their own businesses. As well as this, it was a great opportunity for them to connect and see how they could also collaborate with each other in the future.
On that Thursday evening, our team and guests descended to the Liverpool Arena for the BizX Awards Dinner hosted by Steven Mulhern.
The whole week was fun and educational, with our clients and ourselves booking on for the conference next year.
Next year BizX is being hosted in Farnborough and will have the likes of Kevin Sinfield previous rugby England captain, Brad Sugars ActionCOACH’s CEO, Priya Lakhani OBE who is a leading figure in AI and many more.

To finish off the month filled up with events, Matt, our Partnership Manager and Ellie, our Marketing Executive, attended the B2B Expo at Fontwell Racecourse in West Sussex.
Arriving at Fontwell bright and early the team set up the table for the event filled with more information about ActionCOACH Portsmouth and Chichester services as well as a ‘Spin the Wheel’ with a range of different prizes to be won.
The event was a massive success with both Matt and Ellie speaking with business owners across West Sussex, showcasing our services, including our FREE events.
It is super important for businesses, no matter the size to interact with other professionals. Learning about each other services and building relationships that may be important to your business or career in the future.
Energised by Innovation: Rethinking Customer Service
In the last week of April, Sarah headed up to London City Airport to meet with the team of GSF.
GSF has a large cleaning contract with the airport and has invested into their team, including their front of line staff to improve their customer service skills.
Sarah and GSF spent the session brainstorming fresh approaches to customer service and how the team could implement their learnings in to their day to day job.
